What Not To Do In Rome

My recommendation is not to take the Hop On Hop Off bus in Rome.  We should have known we were in trouble when we had to walk all over to find the starting point.  Or maybe the hint should have come when they gave us earphones with cords so short they could not reach the plugs.  That did not really matter in the long run because most of the time the recording was not going with what we were seeing.

Here we are all settled in for a great ride.

Yes, that is John way up there being antisocial.  He thought it was going to be cold out in the open.

So, okay, it was a little chilly.

Luckily some people got off so we got to move to some awesome seats in the front (yes, that was the only good part of the ride).

These are some oft he sites we speed by.... don't ask me what they are we were going too fast, but they sure are pretty.

We did drive by Circus Maximus, where they held Chariot races, but we were going to fast for a picture.

Another warning, listen to all the announcements, even if they are in Italian.  Apparently, we were the only ones on the bus who failed to hear that the bus was on a twenty minute break.  The good news is we were now going slow enough for a picture.

It wasn't all that bad of a wait. We had streets vendors trying to sell us stuff from the window and we could see an arch of the Vatican City.

I know you have been dying to ask...so, yes....we were just idling in an alley.  We now know the importance of understanding the language!
